I'm an amatuer of making animations and poses but I really want to know how to make a running, walking and especially blinking animation. These animations are highly recommanded on my next SIFF project. Please help me

Running and walking animations are quite difficult (especially with the current rigs available).

Blinking however, is extremely easy to animate. You just need 3 keyframes:  eyes open, eyes closed and eyes open again. Make them about 4 frames apart for a quick blink.

It would be easier to extract the animations that you need from the game and alter them for what you need. These are very basic things that the game has already provided.

The hardest part about animations is getting the speed right, this is also why I said look at extracting the animations from the game.

I'd say, contrary to popular opinion; animations such as walking, talking and running are quite simple. When I say this, I'm not referencing stock motion machinima that needs a lot of in-game tweaking to look in any way, shape or form profesional. I believe any-one can animate, even the animations considered difficult, so don't settle for second best.

I'll be starting an online tutorial for beginners shortly, (I'm waiting on a new graphics card); I'll keep you posted as to things I have on there; it ranges from animating to editing software. In the meantime, when I was starting out in the business ;), I found these tutorials extremely helpful.

Saying that, I myself am constantly looking to learn and improve, and I too am searching for tutorials on several aspects of machinima.

Good luck, I know you can do it; and do it amazingly well.
