I liked your approach to this series of photos. I will admit that they are not the BEST photos you have put together, but as you are an obviously accomplished photographer and reading your commentary I can see that you are seeing and feeling something nostalgic in these photos that others may not get as clearly. I think that is one of the cool things about photography in general - how we can capture meaningful things in our world. ooh. I'm feeling rather reflective, not to mention writing a tonne.
I think that I find that the main distraction from the primary object is the way the hill comes up over the nose of the plane so that the plane itself is less defined.
