I am going to have to disagree a small amount with everyone else. This is by far my favorite photo out of the set, I feel like you captured a great expression on both the character and the unicorn in this particular shot, and I really like the background, I feel it is well composed, the bright yellow tree behind really makes the foreground stand out to me, as well as the pinkish-red bushes flanking the sides. The other two photos, however, I would advise to make sure you pay attention to what is being cut-out when cropping or with your zoom. That is the biggest thing I learned during the last cycle. I will go into more depth on the actual photos. Solid first entry, I look forward to seeing what else you have to offer us :)

I really liked what you were going for here. They tell a very spirited story, and that unicorn looks like it is pleased with your story as well! I like that you did use different angles, and you hit it on key and made it stand out with the framing. The only thing I would say at this moment is to use those props to bring your photo's out. Rocks, flowers, and other things to grab attention and let the eye wander and see the entire photo. I think with a little practice, you will be a great photographer!

And I'm sorry I will have to take off a point because you did not name each of your photo as was the instructions. Hope you will remember to next time.

A lovely series of photos capturing the beauty of the unicorn! I love unicorns...well, I love anything fantasy, lol. Overall you did well with your shots and used interesting angles! I think though, you could have pushed it even further! The composition in the first two pics were nice but just needed a bit more. They were a bit flat due to an uninteresting background. Maybe spreading out some flower petals on the ground or making a line with well placed rocks...just something to draw the eye into the photo. Nonetheless, I was impressed by your entry photos and I think you will improve very quickly to get top points. :)

Hi Steph, and welcome to Shutterbugs. What lovely photos! In keeping with the idea of the photos "telling a story" I feel like you've done that with these - I can feel a story developing. Using the new features of pets and the unicorn was a great idea too. I can't say anything negative about these photos at all - you have used interesting camera angles and nicely framed photos that capture the magic of our new unicorns. The only advice I will give going forward is to really push for something unique. I don't know what the assignments will be, but don't be afraid to really let your imagination run wild. Great start!
